DIPC HPC accounts

Info

Our public computational resources are available to researchers directly employed by non-profit research centers in the Basque Country. If you are an external collaborator, please refer to the Access for external collaborators section below.

Account request

To use the high performance computing (HPC) resources offered by DIPC, you need a valid DIPC cluster account. If you don't have one yet, follow these steps:

  1. Download the account request form.
  2. Complete sections 1 and 2, accept the data protection and processing policy, and sign in the signature box at the bottom left.
  3. Send the form to your institution's HR representative (or department secretary in the case of a university). They will verify your affiliation and expected end date, complete section 3, sign at the bottom right, and forward it to us at accounts-hpc@dipc.org.

We use this process to confirm your institutional affiliation and that it will remain valid until the date stated on the form, which is a mandatory requirement to use our services.

What to expect

After we receive the signed form, your account will typically be created within 2-3 business days. You will receive your credentials and further instructions via email.

Account renewal

If your account is about to expire and you wish to continue using our resources, please submit a new account request form following the same procedure described above, indicating the new expected end date at your institution.

Access for external collaborators

If you are not directly employed by a non-profit research center in the Basque Country but need access to computational resources hosted at the DIPC, there are two scenarios:

  • You are an external collaborator who works with a research group or center that has its own computational resources at the DIPC and you wish to request access to them.
  • You belong to a DIPC-affiliated group and want to grant temporary access to an external collaborator.

In either case, please fill out the external collaborator form and send it to accounts-hpc@dipc.org.

Modifying your password

After your account is created, you will receive a temporary password via email. You will be required to change it on first login:
